2014/2015 Allocation £13,000
Montgomery High School is entitled to an allocation of £500 for each pupil who did not achieve at least a level 4 in reading and/or mathematics at key stage 2, (prior to entering secondary school). The final number of students eligible for this funding has been calculated using the 2014 key stage 2 data and the autumn 2014 school census data.
At Montgomery High School this funding is used:
- To provide access to the Accelerated Reading program to develop their skills to allow them to access the entire school curriculum
- To provide staffing capacity within the library to enable students to receive additional support during lesson times
- To enrol all eligible students on a nationally recognised Passport Maths program via the National Mathematics Partnership specifically focusing on the key concepts required to be secondary ready
